1429914 Benzyloxysulphamides ROUSSEL UCLAF 15 July 1974 [13 July 1973] 31193/74 Heading C2C Novel compounds of formula where Hal represents halogen and m is 0, 1, 2 or 3 and their alkali metal salts are prepared by reacting the corresponding benzyloxyamine with sulphamide and converting to the salt if desired. 2 - Fluoro, 3 -fluoro- and 4 - bromo - benzyloxamines are prepared by the action of hydrazine on N-(2-fluoro, 3-fluoro- and 4-bromo-benzyloxy)phthalimides, themselves prepared by reacting the corresponding halobenzyl chlorides with N-hydroxyphthalimide. The above novel compounds are used in pharmaceutical compositions with tranquillizing properties.
