PURPOSE:To make fluctuations of brightness at a border line inconspicuous by providing a means which switches the delay time of a specific delay circuit, line by line, and making odd lines and even lines different in the display order of (n) subfields in one frame. CONSTITUTION:Each display period of (n) subfields is selected to represent optional gradations among 2<n> stages of gradations on a panel 11 and a means 20 which switches the delay times of delay circuits 21 and 22 supplied with the bit array of input data on gradations and the input data, line by line, is provided. Then the odd lines and even lines are made different in the display order of (n) subfields of one frame. Here, (n) is a natural number. Therefore, even when the difference of gradations displayed by two adjacent lines is small, the display period of each frame can be overlapped. Consequently, the fluctuations of brightness at border lines can be made inconspicuous. |
