FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: biopsy needle is designed for taking of brain bioplates and may be used for biopsy of soft tissue tumors. Coaxial arrangement of external and internal cannulae with cutting edges and capability to turn with respect to each other form single end-piece, thus reducing the needle diameter. Positioning of cutting edges at angle to direction of cutting different from 90 deg minimizes traumatic injuries. EFFECT: improved design. 1 cl, 3 dwg
