Device for mixing and heat treating solid or liquid products, with a mixer (5) in a vessel (1) which contains the products to be mixed and treated, and a heater for heat treatment. The mixer has at least one external surface formed of an electrically conducting material, and is connected (6,7) to a source of electrical energy to form the heater itself. The vessel has at least one internal surface made of electrically insulating material. The mixer has an axle (5.1) with a formed element (5.3). The electrical conductor is at least on the outside of the axle and/or the formed element, with the axle and/or formed element coated with (15) or made entirely of the electrical conductor. The axle is made of a hollow tube defining a gas conduit, with the external surface made of electrical conductor and containing perforations. The mixer is fixed in the vessel, or mounted to turn about a longitudinal axis and is connected at the end to a motor driving it in rotation. The electrical conductor is a metal such as stainless steel.
