<p>The fume vent for roof of buildings, opens automatically in case of fire, creating an intake of air which evacuates the fumes, thus assisting firemen. The vent comprises a rectangular framework (3) fixed above an opening in the roof (1), the top edges (7) of these sides being turned over towards the interior whilst the top edge of the other side is turned over towards the exterior. The vent cover is attached to this edge by a hinge, the cover being sloping and having three upturned edges (18) and one downturned edge (19) ensuring the watertightness and drainage of the outlet. The other side of the cover is attached by a thermal fuse to the framework, this melting with heat and allowing the vent cover to fall open under its own weight.</p> |
