Overhead cables suspension bracket - has holding wedge which partly compresses cable and clamps it into bracket

A suspension bracket is used for overhead cables esp. telephone and power cables. The bracket is designed to allow the cable to be inserted and clamped within itself before the cable is raised into position. The bracket (1) is rectangular and it is approx. 7 cms long. Its cross-section has a longitudinal cavity (3) in which the cable (5) rests, the cavity being extended through the bracket will (6) to allow the cable to be inserted. Two rectangular windows in the brackets walls permit a ribbed wedge (20) to be driven over the upper surface of the cable, partly compressing it within the bracket cavity.
