Position indicator with pendulum weight on shaft - has gear transmission and pointers, with ring sealing gland to maintain vacuum intact

The pendulum weight of the position indicator is hanging freely on the shaft, and a gear transmission is driven by the weight when the position indicator and thus the shaft rotates relative to the weight. The transmission operates at least one pointer counting the number of revolutions of a hand wheel with the position indicator esp. for positioning of feeds etc. on machines, drives etc. Pointer(s) with corresp. scale are protected by a glass. The position indicator is evacuated, and the periphery of the scale indicator is sealed by an O-ring seal.
