The rotor (1) has a substantially spherical shape with one complete half of the sphere (2) still remaining. The other half of the sphere has had material removed to form a stem (3) and the rotor effectively takes the shape of a mushroom. The depth of the cut of the removed material and the radius of the sphere determines the ratio of the respective weights of the complete half sphere and the stem portion. The ratio of the weight of one half to the other half is between 0.75 and 0.85. When an external force is applied to the rotor (1) it rotates about a pair of orthogonal axes, one of which is defined by the edge (6) of the spherical body between the two halves. |
