1497495 Bending elongate plastics workpieces P GROSSMAN 21 April 1976 [22 April 1975] 16201/76 Heading B6J An elongated plastics workpiece removed from a pile and placed on a table 7, Fig. 1, is removed from the table in a lateral direction 23c, Fig. 7, by a gripper frame 23 and advanced into a plurality of bending tools comprising elongated guides 24, 25, 30, 31 and co-operating guide fingers 26, 27, 32, 33, the parts of the workpieces which contact the guides having been heated while on the table by heating units 16, 14, 15, 17, whereby the workpiece is first bent about the guides 24, 25 into an inverted U-shape and then about the guides 30, 31 into square shape, whereafter the ends 8c, 8d are heated, brought together and welded. |
