The cleaning machine for well shafts is used especially for cleaning the gravel layers directly on the shaft walls. The gravel layers are cleaned to their full depth from the residual dirt which blocks the spaces within the gravel. The arrangement has multistage frame with three horizontal circular plates which carry on their circumferences inflatable tyres. The latter rest against the shaft wall and seal it. The uppermost plate has a sealed aperture for a cable and another opening for a compressed air hose. It has a central nozzle and the middle plate has an opening to a pump rotor driven by a submerged motor.
