The bistable and voltage-independent relaxation oscillator circuit with a polarized relay is used for switching over the ink ribbon of teletypewriters, the circuit simplifies the system, and when the supply fails, it stores the bistable state. Closure of the control contact shortens the series circuit of the coil in the polarised relay and the capacitor, so that the change-over prevents the influence of other components upon the process. The dimensioning of the design is simplified allowing optimum selection to be implemented, while the application of high-ohmage resistors reduces the current intake of the circuit. In addition, the value of the capacitance can be low and this contributes to a smaller size unit, while operational voltage changes can be readily tolerated.
|
