Afterburner non-axial to aircraft airscrew - has lateral waste air chamber and holder accommodated within aerofoil

The propulsion unit with reciprocating or rotating piston engines drives an air-screw. The exhaust system has outlet openings through an afterburning exhaust arrangement. Direct waste air utilisation and the forced pumping of the exhaust flow is ensured also in case of nonaxial arrangement of the afterburner. The waste air inlet is arranged into and zone of the air stream flowing along the unit shell. The chamber taking up this waste air flow rate is held on the side of the shell. The holder is arranged into the aerodynamic shape of an aerofoil.
