<p>Fibres are dyed in the form of a compressed bale by introducing the bale into a dyeing chamber through which dye is circulated via a return circuit. The dye is removed from the chamber via an outlet against which the bale is pressed by e.g. a clamp device. Dye is pumped through the base until the correct colour is achieved, and the bale is then removed, dried and separated into loose fibres. The appts. is cheap and a reduced quantity of dye fluid is used, thereby reducing the cost of the dyeing operation.</p> |
