PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a buckling restraining brace member, which is excellent in rigidity, strength and energy absorbing power, easy of machining, manufacture and transport, and highly accurate in the execution of works in the structure. SOLUTION: The buckling restraining brace members 1, 1 composed of members 2, 2a, 2b for restraining buckling and central axial-force members 3, 3a, 3b inserted into the members 2, 2a, 2b for restraining buckling and made of steel is formed in a crossed shape. One buckling restraining brace member 1 is divided at a site crossed in the crossed shape with the other buckling restraining brace member 1, and end sections on the sides of the cross-shaped crossing sites of the member pieces 3a, 3b of the divided central axial-force members of one buckling restraining brace member 1 are joined mutually through connecting members A(16) installed while holding the other buckling restraining brace member 1 and made of steel at that time.
