The broadband transistor line amplifier, for carrier frequency systems, operates in the 4-60 MHz band and has a simpler construction than existing amplifiers. The amplifier has a common emitter input stage, a transformer input bridge, an output transformer in the collector circuit of the output transistor stage, and a Bode equaliser and main equaliser in its negative feedback path. The input transistor is of the opposite conduction type to the two transistors in the other two stages. The second stage is in common collector and the output stage in common emitter configuration. A second transformer with a 1:1 transfer ratio is also located in the output stage's collector circuit. |
