Production method for padded despatch bags consisting of an outer layer of paper and an inner layer of padding with the two tracks of material allowed to run together each coming from one supply roller, continuing together and then guided to a transverse sealing station. Here they are joined at the edges transverse to the longitudinal direction of the bag, following which the connected tracks are led through a length folding station where they are folded over along a longitudinal centre line which in each case forms the base fold of the competed bag. The combined material track thus prepared is then separated into individual bag cut outs having the required width at a separating station (15) and the padded foil is compressed through a rotating pressure beam prior to the separating cut. |
