Electroencephalographic apparatus uses an electrode design to fit the human skill. This has an electrode disc (1) to which is fastened a lead (4) for connection to the apparatus and which is concave towards the skull. This is surrounded by an unlimiting disc (2). Extending radially outwards from the insulating disc is a set of contact arms (3). There may be three of these arms. Preferably, the electrode disc is of silver.
