The metering pump has a motor driving a piston in a cylinder via a piston rod, the piston stroke being directed by an adjustable stop. The rod slides in a guide bush provided with a longitudinal slot and carries a radial pin extending through and outside the slot. A stop ring is rotatable around the bush by a ring and is provided with a number of radial slots of different depths in its end face facing the pin. Click-stops may be provided for the stop ring. These may consist of a spring-loaded ball capable of engaging the slotted face of the stop ring.
