PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detecting device comprising a detector which settles defect which accompanies conventional technology and a method using the detector. SOLUTION: A radiation detector comprises a slit collimator. The radiation detector receives the radiation received with each slit. The aspect ratio of aperture of the detector is about 3, and each semiconductor radiation detector 106 comprises a lateral dimension (Cy) smaller than the lateral dimension (Wy) of each slit. A reconfiguration process device generates an image indicating the radiation received with the detector. The detector rotates around a fixed axis 109. Instead, the detector makes translation in accordance with the rotation to provide a sight field of almost square.
