PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnecessary electromagnetic radiation without employing an electromagnetic shielding film or a metallic shield. SOLUTION: When driving a plasma display panel having plural display electrode pairs that are made up with X and Y electrodes covered by dielectric bodies, the rising wave shape of priming pulses applied to either one of the X electrodes or the Y electrodes is constituted of the synthesized wave made up with a gradual wave shape formed by employing capacitors Ck1 and Ck2 and transistors T1 to T13 and the steep wave shape formed by employing only the transistors T1 to T13 without capacitors Ck1 and Ck2.
