The machine for grading oysters has sensors (1) to weigh each oyster. The grading area (Z) has a conveyor belt (4) for the oysters and sensors (2,3) to detect the position of each oyster inside the zone. Weight sensors are positioned along the conveying path. Each sensor is individually controlled as a function of the sensed positions to coordinate operation of the sensors as a function of the oysters position.
