<p>A detector of atomic particles and ionising radiations, in which a detecting material is placed in an enclosure, has the walls of the enclosure surrounding the detector composed of a material which detects atomic particles and ionising radiations, forming an auxiliary detector. The invention provides improved detectors of atomic particles alpha, beta, etc. and ionising radiations, photons, gamma Y, X, of all kinds and of all energies, having max. sensitivity, suppressing practically all absorption of radiation diffused by the principal detector. The detectors are partic. suitable for equipping anti-Compton spectrometers.</p> |
