<p>The water meter is formed by a hollow, watertight body (1) made from injected material and two lateral inlet and outlet tubes (2, 3) in which the flow to be measured runs. the body is fitted internally with an enclosure with multiple jets and a central turbine (5), gearing and a totalisator. The enclosure is perforated with orifices at two different levels. Water enters through the inlet tube, passes through the lower orifices (7) and operates the turbine and thus the totalisator. It then gets expelled from the higher orifices (9). The two levels of orifices are isolated from each other.</p> |
