A touring or racing car has its steered wheels mounted at the rear instead of at the front. The drive wheels may be the front or the rear wheels. The steered wheels may or may not be power assisted. The axis about which the steered wheels pivot may or may not be swung forwards. The vehicle can be swung towards the outside of the bend when cornering, compensated in part by centrifugal force. The braking effect on the steered wheels can thus be reduced.
