摘要 <p>An article comprising an Al alloy core and an outer cladding layer, which is bonded to one or each side of the core and is made of an alloy of compsn. (by wt) 7-14% Si, 0.2-2% Mg, 0.05-0.3% Sn, 0.6% Fe, 0.3% Mn, 0.15 % incidental impurities, balance Al, is used as a brazing composite in the vacuum brazing of Al alloy components. The brazing properties of the cladding alloy is low pressure environments (below 1 x 10-4 torr) are superior to other brazing alloys. Replacement of Bi in the alloys disclosed in US 3853547, by Sn according to the present invention gives a cheaper alloy with improved overall fillet ability.</p>
