A visual indication of the logic states of units of a control pulse code modulation system is achieved by the device. Cables (C(0)) to (C(7)) are used to carry logic state signals from each of the remote logic devices (U) each having an access interface (I). The visual display is provided on a display device. This device is driven under the control of a regulation circuit (2). This display regulating circuit (2) receives logic state signals from a multichannel interface (1) between the central unit (A) and cables (C).
