<p>The butterfly valve plate (5) is mounted eccentrically on the spindle (2). The clamping plate (3) is fixed to the valve plate (5) with screws (4) and abuts against a flat on the spindle (2). A flexible metal sealing ring (7) is secured by a clamping ring (8) and screws (10) to the valve body (1). The sealing ring (7) is provided with a lip (16) which matches the shape of the rim of the valve plate (5). Because the valve spindle (6) is eccentric to the valve plate (5) and valve body (1), the valve plate (5) can swing clear of the sealing ring (7) as it rotates to the open position.</p> |
