<p>A method of reproducing lithographic works of art on a conventional offset printing machine, to produce small quantities which are numbered, or mass produced, uses a frosted transparent or woven support carrying a coloured copy of the original which is mounted over a light source. This permits a direct comparison with the original, with laboratory testing or printed proofs. The film is made up of a set of four layers, each with a different colour, which replaces the original lithographic store. A different coloured copy is made on each layer using lithographic crayons, and obtaining a copy on the paper used for the offset printing process.</p> |
