<p>The control knob for household appliances, wireless or TV features a light emitting diode set in its opaque body wall recess with the leads guided inside the knob. The supply for the diode is ensured by contact ring which may be attached either to the knob or to the housing of the appliance and with a contact provided by a leaf spring on the opposite unit. The other connection of the diode (3) is made through the contact spring (20) in the recess of the knob, the spring bearing against the shaft (10) of the switch onto which the knob is fitted. The knob (1) has a cup shape and the light emitting diode is fitted near its periphery with lead (5) connected to a contact ring (7) via a resistor (12). The ring, in turn, is connected to the supply (16) via a slider (13). The position of the diode provides an in-dication of the switching position.</p> |
