PURPOSE:To ensure that continuous, a clear print is obtained at a low cost with a printing head cooled by applying water to the base surface of an ink film. CONSTITUTION:Ink film 2 which is fed out of a feeder 1 comes in contact with a porous resin 4 which is constantly impregnated with water from a water collection tank 3, and is coated with water. Next, the water is scraped off using a blade 5, and the ink film 2 is free from a surplus water. After this, the ink film 2 is kept at a ground level of potential across the width by guidance of a conductive guide roller 7 connected to ground E. A printing head 9 is constantly cooled with the water applied to the base surface of the ink film 2. Thus, continuous print becomes clear and this state continues for a long time at a low cost. |
