The device is designed for installation, accurate location and servicing of radio navigation equipment and/or other apparatus on radio navigation beacons, in the vicinity of antennae. There is an outside lift, with lift cage and drive e.g. traction cable or spur rack. The requisite metering instruments and/or appliances can be hoisted in a lift cage, together with the operative personnel up to the level of the equipment box mounted on the beacon tower. The cage and drive may be detachable, and transportable on a maintenance vehicle, and the drive may be mounted on, and controlled from, the maintenance vehicle. |
