The bearing bush has a bush whose bearing surface has lobe-shaped pockets (4-7) for the hydrodynamic formation of wedges of oil. The pockets extend circumferentially between arcuate portions (10-13) centred on the axis of the bearing. Axially, the recesses extend short of the ends of the bush and terminate at cylindrical end portions or weirs (9). The weirs limit or prevent the escape of oil from the axial ends of the pockets. The weirs may extend over the whole inner circumference of the bush or only at the lower half of the bush.
|
