PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-efficiency spectroscope having little aberration, even when a small array detector is used. SOLUTION: In this spectroscope 4, light to be dispersed 2 is dispersed by a distributed spectral element 7 and thereafter allowed to enter an array detector 12. In the spectroscope 4, a lens system 8 having a comparatively short focus distance is installed on the subsequent stage of the distributed spectral element 7, and light 6 passing through the lens system 8 is allowed to enter the array detector 12.
