PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device by which a plurality of physical addresses are properly utilized without individually preparing a network interface and to provide a computer network constituted by using the network device. SOLUTION: The Ethernet (R) port 20 of a cable modem 16 is connected to the respective Ethernet (R) ports 52, 22 and 42 of a router 46 and computers PC1 and PC2 mutually by an Ethernet (R) cable 48. A plurality of MAC addresses are stored in the Ethernet (R) interface 50 of the router 46 and one of the MAC addresses is selected in accordance with the communication destination and used.
