Winding support fixing assembly - uses radial wedge to part tangential locking wedges and ensure torque transfer to stator packet

The fixing assembly, for winding supports, ensure that the torque generated by the winding support is transferred to the laminar stator packet. Tangential wedges are located between the support and the stator packet to form a roof like structure. A radial wedge fits between the two tangential wedges and forces them away from one another tighter into the tapering gap between support (8) and stator packet (1). An anchor bolt (16) screws into the radial wedge through the support and when tightened, draws the wedge towards it thereby driving the tangential wedges apart.
