<p>PURPOSE:To improve the performance of retrieval by re-arranging and storing storage information as a document in sequence of document or page. CONSTITUTION:When optical disks 20a and 20b on which image information are registered are set at disk devices 22a and 22b and an edit mode is selected with a keyboard 23, a CPU 34 stores retrieval data read out from the disk 20a in a document managing table 27 in a disk 26, and next, reads out the data in a page managing table 27b in sequence of document number or page number, and re-arranges it, and stores it in a main memory 38. Also, the CPU 34 supplies the image information at every scanning line from the device 22a sequentially to a page memory 40, and after storing it, supplies the image information at every scanning line sequentially to the device 22b, then, stores it in the optical disk 20b. As a result, the image information can be stored in the disk 20b in sequence of document number and page number.</p> |
