<p>1409203 Dewatering screen BAUER BROS CO 11 June 1973 [13 June 1972] 27681/73 Heading B1D An inclined dewatering screen for slurries has closely spaced transverse bars or wires 24 across which slurries are passed during dewatering and has transverse depending plates 32 which are removable and are inserted where needed between the bars or wires to drain off liquid fractions otherwise adhering to the lower surface. Longitudinal supports 20 both support bars 24 and broader upper portions of trapezoidal plates 32 (Fig 5, not shown). Both bars and plates may be arched with their apices pointed in the direction of flow. The screen may be in several flat sections, each angled nearer the horizontal than the next (Fig 2, not shown) and the whole contained in a frame. The slurry may be a fibrous or sewage slurry.</p> |
