PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry a lump of crushed ice to the side of a crusher 6 without fail, even if a vacant space is made between the bottom part of a lump of crushed ice G consisting of crushed ice g to be carried by a slat conveyor 5 within the ice storage chamber 2 of an ice plant and the carriage face of this conveyor 5. SOLUTION: In an ice plant which is equipped with an ice machine for manufacturing fine ice g such as crushed ice or the like, an ice storage chamber for storing the ice g manufactured with the ice machine, a slat conveyor 5 for carrying the ice g to be stored in the ice storage chamber to one end side of the ice storage chamber, being positioned on the side of the floor of the ice storage chamber, and a cracker for cracking a lump of ice G carried by this conveyor 5, being positioned on the side of the carriage end of the slat conveyor 5, the slat constituting the slat conveyor 5 is provided with projections 20 and 21 for slip stoppage which are projecting by specified length from the surface.
