Novel compounds of the formula <IMAGE> wherein X is hydrogen, alkyl of one to six carbon atoms, inclusive, alkoxy of one to six atoms, inclusive, phenyl, cyano, nitro, trifluoromethyl, fluoro, chloro or bromo; R is hydrogen, alkyl of one to eight carbon atoms, inclusive, and a physiologically acceptable metal or amine cation and novel compositions wherein R is hydrogen or a physiologically acceptable metal or amine cation are used for prophylactically treating allergic disorders such as asthma.
