SUBSTANCE: method comprises iodination of sodium chloride raw material which includes natural rock salt deposits, and iodination is carried out during subterranean dissolution thereof with iodine-containing solvent as salt is mined or underground storages are created in rock salt deposits to form iodine-containing sodium chlorine mortars and they are subsequently evaporated under natural conditions in natural lake foundation pits to prepare iodinated salt, iodine-containing solvent being natural iodine-containing water.
