The calbe (3) is wound in the groove around the outside of the metal ring (5). The end of the cable (2a) is gripped into the clip (4) which also passes over the standing part of the cable and grips them together. A keep plate (1) is fitted into the narrow end of the eye. The plate is bent into a U and the base of the U is made narrow so that it can fit in the eye. The top of the U has a through hole so that a rivet (9) can join the ends of the U. The rivet passes in between the cable ends and holds the plate in position. |
