The cutting press is used for making slots into circular segment shaped lamallae of electrical machines. The thin plates are fed after each ram stroke by a coordinate guide of the clamping table correctly to the cutting tools. A step by step indexing movement is superposed. It is possible to cut, without changing tools, outside shapes and slots into plates which differ from the actual stator or rotor slots. The precut segments can be made with relatively rough outline and hence they are suitable for different machine types. No subsequent correction work is needed for these slotted lamalae. End plates with larger grooves can be cut without changing tools. The cutting tools (3,4) are provided with arbitrary cutting profiles (13,14,15,16) held outside the effective range of the slot profile (12). These cutting profiles are brought by a program into effective contact with the lamella (7) to be machined.
|
