Each corner is operated independently and consists of a caster (3) which runs in a horizontal spindle (4). The spindle is integral with a pair of lever arms (7) on either side of the wheel. The lever is connected to the secondary lever train (10, 13, 14, and 15) pivoted about the fixed point (16). The lever (9) carries a jacking screw (23) held in position by locknuts (24 and 25). The jacking screw may reston the block (8). When the lever arm (17) is depressed the lever (9) is raised and the jacking screw is raised out of the way, allowing the unit to roll on its wheels.
