Nitrogenous animal feeds contain a mixt. of urea phosphate (I) and defluorinated rock phosphate (II) in a wt. ratio of 0.1-10:1, opt. together with other components, minerals or vitamins. The feeds can be used as additives for pelleted concentrates, as cattle licks or as silage additives. Components (I) and (II) do not react with each other; the soluble P content remains high for long periods; the Ca:P ratio can be adjusted to the optimum value; (I) produces lower blood ammonia levels than urea. |
