Costing for local telephonic communications - uses centralised processing system with programmed memory determining cost based on call duration

A centralized processing system with programmed memory is used to determine costing for local telephonic communication based on length of time. The processing system transmits cost pulses to the calling subscriber cost counter and is able to discriminate between day or night tariffs. A mini or micro processor (P) controlling a telephonic costing system contains a programmed memory (Mp). A maintenance desk (Pm) permits checking of the system. The telephonic unjuctions are explored (Dex) and a pulse transmission circuit (Eip) transmits cost pulses via bus lines (0) to the processor. Interface circuits (Mo to M16) permit connection of telephonic junctions to the exploration (Dex) and pulse transmission circuits when commanded by the processor memory which contains the instruction addresses.
