The system controls the output of one or more hydrodynamic pumping sets, eg as used for handling storm water from drains. The set is so controlled as to give a continuously variable output dependent on a variable value detected by a feeler unit. Adjustment signals from the latter are fed to the set signal input, operating one or more pumps to a discontinuous cycle. At the time of the beginning og the cycle, when the value has reached a predetermined starting figure, the set is started up, and the feeler is uncoupled from the signal input. At the end of the cycle at a moment corresponding with a predetermined stopping value, where the set is ready to start a new cycle, the feeler is recoupled to the signal input, and the set is stopped. The control signal to the input is kept constant during the entire uncoupled period, at a value occurring at the moment of uncoupling. Thus the set runs with constant output during the entire uncoupled period.
|
