<p>A switch is used to control the exterior lighting of vehicles. It consists of a lever (10) which is rotatable in a single plane about an axis (9). The lever (10) drives an operating cylinder (4). It is fitted with pawls (11, 12). The pawls have hooks co-operating with toothed wheels (23, 24), and there is a system of cams (13, 14, 15). The assembly of cams and levers acts on the contacts plates. The switch can control various different combinations of headlights and sidelights.</p> |
