The printing system for film frames has the negative inserted in an immersion block positioned in the light path between a light source and a photosensitive sheet. The immersion block comprises two facing plates (30, 40) which are transparent at least in part (35, 45) and spaced so as to define a space (23) for receiving the negative inserted from one side. The immersion block and the support frame for the negative have cooperating positioning and guide means. A liquid with a given refractive index is introduced into the space (23) between the plates. Pref. the two plates (30, 40) have parallel guides formed in their internal faces, between which the negative frame is slid.
