The packing machine, such as a carton packer, places two or more objects directly onto the feed chain, avoiding all preliminary stacking. The machine consists of conveyor belts, equal in number to the number of objects to be placed on one stack, which feed the objects onto tables (5). The objects are then lifted from the tables by arms (18) attached to a crank (22) which is rotated about an axle (23). On the downstroke the objects are deposited on trays (17) attached to the feed chain, a wheel (24) on the bottom of the arm acting with a rail to rotate the arms outwards thus releasing the trays. With each cycle of the arms the trays move one place down the feed chain.
|
