Solar collector composed of large self:supporting panels - which are suitable as roof covering and external wall cladding

Each roofing/cladding panel is composed of a sheet of fire-proof material, e.g. expanded phenolic resin, with the solar collector proper (a double sheet-metal panel, blackened and filled with liq) above it. The collector is pref. double-glazed watertight, with unbreakable glass, a profiled strip may cover the joints between adjacent panels, the panels' fireproof base sheet is pref. also a sound insulator.
